Who Are We & Why Should You Care?

Cheechako is a Chinook Jargon word combining “chee” (new) and “chako” (come). As “new-comers” to Alaska, we embrace this identity. We are on a mission to get to know the real Alaska by experiencing all of its climates, cultures, and natural beauty, across all the seasons.

We offer our web development & design services to local Alaskan tourism businesses. However, we consider our ultimate customers to be the tourists themselves, who use these websites in order to experience all of the unique wonder that Alaska has to offer.

Our Alaskan journey thus far has been beyond amazing. We started by volunteering with the Southeast Island School district on Prince of Wales Island. We then worked on an off-grid oyster farm located on a tiny island in the Clarence Strait. Towards the end of 2016 we took a ferry up to Skagway and drove through Tok, Fairbanks, Anchorage, and down to Homer in the span of a week, all the time living out of our 13′ Scamp. We decided to hunker down for the winter just south of Hatcher Pass with an amazing view of the mountains and grand plans to stick around and get to know Alaska.

What’s next? That’s up to you! We would love to come experience your Alaska while helping you grow your business by improving your business’ website.
